The Client

Our client is a well-known insurance company offering exclusive insurance policies to its customers. With its success and experience, it has created a presence in the global market. The company offers a wide range of insurance products in various sectors such as car insurance, health insurance, home insurance and commercial insurance products.

The Challenge

The insurance company approached Binary Semantics with specific technical needs for their car insurance business for end customers. The offerings in this segment include different types of car insurance policies namely third-party car insurance policy, standalone own-damage car insurance policy, comprehensive car insurance policy In addition to these insurance covers, it also presents coverage for bodily injury or death of the owner-driver in case of an unfortunate accident.

The portal was expected to provide self-service capability to customers for buying motor insurance policies in real-time.

By virtue of its diverse experience in the segment, Binary Semantics was expected to do integrations with Insurer Core system for Premium Calculation through Web services & API’s, The engagement also required Third party integrations such as Payment Gateway, Fetching Vehicle Make, Model, Variant, RTO Data and integration with SMS Provider etc. The portal UI was expected to be responsive in design.

The Solution

Third party integrations were done with Insurance Company core systems to ensure that the insurance policy is generated in real time and overall buying process is completed in shortest possible time.

Extensive QA/Testing was conducted in order to ensure that the end solution was compatible with Desktops and Mobile Devices of diverse resolutions and configurations.
